CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER: Rescheduled for April 14th

Building off the success and effectiveness of Evergreen's work-party weekend that has maintained Devil's Gulch and the Mission Ridge Trail for the past several years, Evergreen and Chelan/Douglas Land Trust (CDLT) are partnering for a one day work party to maintain most of the trails in the Wenatchee foothills, and ride in the Sage Hills before finishing the day with a BBQ at the Horse Lake Trailhead.  If you ride the Sage Hills, please come out on April 7 to help with brush cutting, rut repairs, drainage and improvements (Homestead, Balsamroot, Glacier View, The Gut, Apricot Crisp and a few other popular trails). Put it on your calendars now and follow up with Central WA Evergreen's website (https://cwevergreenmtb.org/) or the Land Trust's website (https://www.cdlandtrust.org ) to receive additional details as they are known.  For now, plan to meet at the end of the pavement on Horse Lake Road at 9am.  Tools will be provided.  Riding your bike to the event is encouraged! Following the trail work party, we will have a BBQ with liquid refreshments. After the BBQ, you can either ride down the trails on your bike or hop on a shuttle bus and be teleported to your car.

From North Wenatchee Ave turn West onto Horselake Road. Follow Horselake Road for 1 mile to the pavement end. 

What to expect

  • No experience necessary
  • All tools will be provided
  • Expect to be physically active and to work at your own pace
  • Uneven terrain of all types

What to Wear

  • Clothing for all weather conditions
  • Sturdy Footwear, boots recommended
  • Long pants 
  • Work gloves if you have them
  • Long-sleeved shirt recommended
  • Eye protection recommended (glasses, sunglasses or safety glasses)

What to Bring

  • A backpack to carry your personal gear
  • A jacket or coat in case of cold weather
  • Snacks/Lunch
  • Water
